All muscle cars generally wind up being compared to the iconic Ford Mustang. Since its welcomed debut in 1964 this car has been a best seller and has become Ford's third oldest running nameplate. The Mustang has held a "hip" and "cool" reputation, perhaps the car of a rebel or a "bad boy". One look at this ride and it's easy to see why it' been in high demand for so long. The front grille and fascia are bold while the power dome hood and a dual stainless steel exhaust unabashedly state that this is a powerful car to be reckoned with. Eighteen inch aluminum wheels are standard and accentuate the vehicle's aggressive and bold stance. The Mustang GT competes in the muscle car segment with other powerful vehicles like the Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger, but they can't hold a candle to the Mustang's reputation. The 2011 version has a few changes on the outside including as a revamped fascia and more aerodynamic engineering and a new spoiler.

The engine which runs the 2011 Ford Mustang GT is a powerful 5.0 Liter engine with 8 massive cylinders which puts out 412 horsepower and 390 lb feet of torque. The engine is equipped with cold air induction which constantly feeds cold air into the engine, resulting in even more power. This car travels from zero to sixty in just 4.8 seconds. Fuel economy is at 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the freeway. Due to its significant horsepower driving this auto is truly a thrill. Just one easy push on the gas pedal and off she goes.

The interior features a retro and nostalgic design and is accented with lots of metallic touches while the seats are comfortable and offer excellent lumbar support. The 2011 model is very well insulated and exterior noise is minimal even at fast speeds. The trunk space is a decent 13.4 cubic feet. Standard features include an air conditioning system, remote keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, Ford's Mykey and Sync system, front bucket seats crafted out of premium leather and a heart thumping audio system with a single disc CD player. The Mustang GT's Premium trim comes with a powerful Shaker 500 audio system, a power adjustable drivers' seat and a voice activated communications system.

The 2011 Mustang GT was engineered with safety foremost. A set of two front airbags are in place along with passenger front and side bags. The Electronic Stability Control system works to regain and maintain control during dangerous road situations and adjusts brake pressure as needed. The Tire Pressure Monitoring system alerts you when your tire pressure is out of the norm plus there is an anti-theft device installed.

Since its grand debut, the Mustang has made over five hundred appearances on the big and small screen. That is more than any other Ford vehicle. If you love American built cars and crave lots of power and fast speeds then the Mustang GT is for you. The 2011 version boasts even more power with the help of the cold air induction mechanism. The base price of the GT Mustang is $29,645, a fair price for one of the most famous muscle cars in U.S history.
